Gordano School were proud to host their Christmas Concert last week.
The event included a variety of performances from students across all year groups. Some were extra-curricular clubs run by staff and a team of external peripatetic teachers, and some were performances by students who just love to sing, play and perform and have put their own pieces and ensembles together.
On Thursday 24th August we welcomed our Year 11 students into school to collect their GCSE results. We are so proud of each and every student, and we were delighted to be able to share the morning with our young people to celebrate their achievements.

Well done to all our Year 7's who took part in the Grand Languages Spelling Bee at the end of January. Participants had to spell as many words as they could in 60 seconds in either French or Spanish.
Gordano School Creative Arts Faculty invites you to this year’s school production of Bring It On! – The Musical. The production involves 80 students and showcases the Creative Arts subjects of Drama, Dance, Music and Art in one of the school’s signature events.
Portishead Youth Centre February Holiday Scheme are taking bookings for their February Half Term Holiday Scheme for 2022.
On Thursday 3rd February we will be remotely delivering an information session to students, parents and guardians on Degree and Post 18 Apprenticeships.
Huge congratulations to Lucas Faram who was placed Second in the Rotary Young Musician Competition that took place at Redmaids School on Friday 21st January. Lucas played 'Marimba Dances', a ten-minute plus piece on the Marimba, with three movements entirely from memory, impressing the judges enough to win him Second place in the competition.
Calling all aspiring artists. 'Portishead In Bloom,' have just announced their 2022 Schools Painting Competition. There are three age categories and the theme this year is 'The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Garden.' Entries need to be submitted by Friday 27th May 2022.
A New Year means new mountains to climb for Cian and his friends. You may remember from last term Cian Redman from Year 8 has set himself a challenge to climb the height of Mount Everest to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West. Along the way he is involving friends, family and members of his rugby team - Gordano Sharks u13's.
