Safeguarding
What is safeguarding?
Safeguarding legislation and government guidelines state that schools should take action to:
- Protect children from maltreatment
- Prevent impairment of children’s health or development
- Enable all children and young people to have the best outcome
- Ensure that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
Safeguarding includes child protection, health care plans, health and safety, site security, safety on school trips, anti-bullying work and more. Safeguarding resources for parents and students can be found on Firefly and below.
