Students Wow at Drama Showcase

This year's Drama showcase lived up to its billing, beautifully demonstrating the wealth of talent and dedication we have from our students.

The night was opened by students of Key Stage 3, lead by Mr Hussey, in their performance of Alan Ayckbourn's 'Ernie's Incredible Illucinations'. The students (some of whom were on stage performing to a live audience for the first time ever), showed incredible resilience and ambition to create an evening that will live long in their memories.

The evening was brought to a spectacular close by Miss Day's 'No Regrets' masterpiece. This group of students from Years 9 to 13 recreated a magical performance that only two weeks earlier was on stage at the Bristol Old Vic as part of a National Theatre collaboration.

Head of Drama Mr Hussey said "To all those on stage, to our tech team, to the wonderful office staff and everyone who helped put this evening together I'd like to express my heart felt gratitude. This was my first involvement in a Gordano production and I've been blown away by the support of staff and the professionalism of the students."

Imagine what next year's whole school production will be like...
