Supporting Ambitious Futures
We provide specialist guidance for early entry applicants, including those pursuing Medicine, Veterinary Science, and Oxbridge, with tailored mentoring, interview preparation, and academic enrichment. Students also benefit from the Access to Bristol programme, and we’re proud to be part of HE+, a prestigious initiative led by the University of Cambridge that offers advanced academic content, university-style learning, and expert support for high-achieving students.
Preparing for Life beyond Sixth Form
Our dedicated Careers Adviser works closely with students throughout their Sixth Form journey, offering one-to-one guidance, CV and application support, and personalised advice. Our careers programme is designed to support all post-18 pathways—whether students are heading to university, apprenticeships, employment, or gap years—ensuring every individual is confident and well-prepared for their next steps.
Broadening Horizons, Building Confidence
Beyond the classroom, our Elective programme features over 20 enrichment opportunities, from creative arts, sports, volunteering, and fundraising to leadership development and World Challenge expeditions, providing transformative experiences that broaden horizons and build confidence. We also host the largest Duke of Edinburgh enrolment in the South West, giving students unparalleled access to this prestigious award and its life-changing adventures. With opportunities to collaborate with other sixth forms through the LSP (Lighthouse Schools Partnership), and a warm, welcoming atmosphere rooted in our local community, our Sixth Form empowers students to thrive.
Dedicated Facilities
In Year 12, students enjoy the focused environment of our Study Plus Centre, while Year 13 benefit from the dedicated support of The Learning Curve, helping them prepare for exams, university, and beyond.
A Healthy Amount of Fun and Community Spirit
At our Sixth Form, we believe that balance is key — academic excellence goes hand in hand with a healthy amount of fun and community spirit. RAG (Raise and Give) Week is a highlight of the year, bringing students together through a series of creative, light-hearted fundraising events in support of chosen charities. From fancy dress days and bake sales to staff-versus-student competitions and talent shows, the week is filled with laughter, teamwork, and purpose. It’s a chance for students to unwind, showcase their creativity, and make a meaningful difference, reinforcing the values of compassion, collaboration, and leadership that define our Sixth Form community.
Ofsted: Students in the sixth form study a broad and well-structured curriculum. They value the many opportunities available to develop their leadership skills. Sixth-form students, in particular, receive in depth support to help them to successfully access higher education, work or apprenticeships.
