A group of 13 exceptional students from Gordano School have marked a significant achievement by celebrating their completion of the Brilliant Club programme at a special Graduation Ceremony held at the University of Bristol.

You may have seen the announcement that Shine, the South West’s leading provider of sports coaching and wraparound care, will be managing Gordano Sports Centre and the community lettings facilities. Shine will, under its new brand of ‘GoShine’, seek to work closely with us at Gordano, the existing gym members/facility users and the wider Portishead community, to deliver an exceptional service and an enhanced community experience for the benefit of everyone.
On 29th January 116 students across Years 9, 10 and 11 competed in the Intermediate Maths Challenge.

To celebrate Women and Girls in STEM day, the School of Mathematics at University of Bristol hosted an event called Stories about Hollywood's Hippest mathematics: A celebration of Women and Girls in STEM.

Shine, the South West’s leading provider of sports coaching and wraparound care, is delighted to announce they will be managing Gordano Sports Centre and the community lettings facilities.
The Sixth Form Bake Off was an exciting and highly anticipated event that brought out the inner bakers in each tutor group.
The event saw a fun yet competitive atmosphere where each tutor group was required to bake a delicious and visually impressive selection of cakes, with points awarded for table presentation, variety, taste and of course The Vibe!
Some groups went all out with themed displays like Valentine's Day, Under the Sea, Space, and Children's Mental Health Awareness Week, adding a creative twist to the competition.
Children's Mental Health Week was filled with engaging and insightful events designed to raise awareness and provide support for young people’s mental well-being. This year’s activities included a visit from Kooth, the UK’s largest and longest-established digital mental health service; Off The Record Bristol, a mental health support and information service in Bristol and the North Somerset LGBTQ+ Forum, who brought their brand-new vehicle out on the road for the very first time.

A collection of instruments has been donated to our Music Department including a beautiful electric piano (pictured), synthesisers, guitars, and a flute. Thank you to the Fudge family for their generosity.
