What does Learning Look Like at Gordano?

The planned curriculum is delivered through our teaching and learning framework, Gordano Learning. This means that all subjects in all year groups structure lessons and facilitate learning in a similar, research-informed way. This does not mean that all lessons are exactly the same; teachers adapt the approaches to suit the subject context and the needs of each class and its individual learners.  By having consistent learning routines however (such as starting each lesson with a ‘Do Now’) students know what to expect and can settle into learning quickly.

Gordano Learning is informed by Rosenshine's Principles, The Durrington Research School, Teach Like a Champion, the Walkthru series and the Education Endowment Foundation.
