Year 7 students at Gordano have launched a project to give their Elliot Hall a makeover, which acts as a haven for them while adjusting to life here at Gordano School.
Gordano School students came first and third in the inaugural Lighthouse Schools Partnership Vocabulary Competition which was held at Churchill Academy on Tuesday 21st January 2025.
The Sixth Form students at Gordano School have successfully concluded their annual RAG Week, raising significant funds for Cancer Research and Caring in Bristol.
Gordano students are proud to announce that they have raised over £1,000 through various charity fundraising initiatives since the start of the school year.
RAG Week, organised by Sixth Form students, is a vibrant and exciting event that spans an entire week, filled with themed dress-up days, various fundraising activities, and the much-anticipated RAG Fest.
The Gordano Nurture Hub is an Early Help Provision run using Nurture UK principles and guidelines and is designed to support learners who are anxious about attending school for various reasons, giving them a soft start into their school day, exploring possible obstacles that may be stopping their learning, promoting their overall wellbeing and educational progress and providing them with training and tools to help them have a positive start to Secondary School.
Our catering provider Aspens is pleased to offer students in Years 7 – 11 a Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 18th December in the Dining Hall at a cost of £2.65 per person.
We will be supporting Caring in Bristol by collecting donations of goods that will be delivered to the centre to support people experiencing homelessness this Christmas. You can find out more about this campaign on their website here

Gordano School was thrilled to welcome BBC Radio Bristol who came to visit our Head of PE, Emma Harradine and two of our elite swimmers Jamie and Sam to talk about their experiences and successes of the sporting provision at Gordano and the journey of our amazing swimmers as they head on the road to the ESS National Swimming Finals.
