The Kindness Collective is Gordano School’s whole-school initiative dedicated to creating a culture of kindness, gratitude, connection and belonging.

At the heart of the Kindness Collective is a simple idea: everyone has a part to play in making our school community a positive place to be. The initiative celebrates the people who make Gordano special and creates opportunities for students, staff and families to connect, show appreciation and make a difference to one another.

Our Kindness Crew of student ambassadors helps bring the initiative to life, planning and delivering activities throughout the year that encourage kindness, gratitude, laughter and positive connections across the school.

From unexpected thank-you messages and acts of appreciation to activities designed simply to bring people together and spread a smile, including to those beyond the school community, the Kindness Collective creates meaningful moments that strengthen relationships and help everyone feel known, valued and included.

The initiative reflects Gordano School’s commitment to Give Back and to developing young people who contribute positively to the communities around them.

It also supports the Lighthouse Schools Partnership vision to “Flourish in Partnership”, recognising that education is about developing character, relationships and a sense of community alongside academic success.

The Kindness Collective is more than a programme of activities. It is part of our wider commitment to building a school community where kindness is noticed, celebrated and made part of everyday life.
