Introducing The Kindness Collective

Celebrating our people. Connecting our community.

We're excited to launch The Kindness Collective, our new whole-school initiative dedicated to spreading kindness, gratitude, smiles and a joy across our school community.

The Kindness Collective is all about celebrating the people who make our school such a special place while creating meaningful moments of connection between students, staff and families.

Leading the initiative is our fantastic Kindness Crew, ambassadors who will plan and deliver activities throughout the year, encouraging everyone to play their part in creating a culture of kindness and belonging.

Starting with gratitude

Our first Kindness Collective activity focused on giving back.

Year 7 and Year 8 students took time to write heartfelt Big Thank You postcards to teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, site staff, catering teams and all those who work tirelessly behind the scenes every day.

The postcards were delivered as surprise moments of appreciation. The messages were genuine, thoughtful and a wonderful reminder of the positive impact our staff have on students every day.

Spreading smiles

Our Kindness Crew embraced the popular Strike a Pose social media trend.

Students surprised staff by appearing outside classrooms and offices with funny poses and dance moves to see whether staff would copy them. The result was plenty of laughter, smiles and some brilliant dance moves!

While the activity may have looked a little silly, its purpose was simple; to spread joy, strengthen relationships and create positive memories together.

These are just the beginning

We have lots more kindness-filled surprises planned throughout the year as we continue building a school community where everyone feels valued, connected and celebrated.
