Gordano 70th Anniversary

Gordano70 is a special year-long celebration marking 70 years of Gordano School (academic year 2026-27), honouring our past while inspiring our future.

Throughout the year, students, staff, alumni and the wider community will come together to celebrate everything that makes Gordano special through exciting events, creative projects and fundraising activities.

These include a logo competition, memories and history projects, alumni involvement, careers spotlights, sponsored challenges, a time capsule, and a large mural showcasing Gordano through the decades.  The celebrations will conclude at Gordano’s Creative Arts Festival featuring performances, exhibitions and the unveiling of a lasting legacy project for future generations.

For updates, please follow us on Facebook and sign up to receive our Termly News.

Gordano70 is all about celebrating 70 years of stories, achievements and community spirit, while creating new memories together.

Logo Competition

We are excited to be kicking off the celebrations with a logo competition during the 2026 summer term.

We are inviting our students, along with children in the community, to design a special logo to mark the occasion. The winning design will become the official Gordano 70 logo, and we will do our best to include all suitable entries in a beautiful creative project to be revealed on the school site. We would love all young people to take part and create something that will become part of Gordano School’s history and leave a legacy for the future.

Please download the entry sheet at the bottom of this page which includes more information and a logo template. Paper copies will be issued to all Gordano students and local primaries, plus they are available to collect from Main Reception.
