The position of Senior Student is central to the ongoing development of our Sixth Form community. In this role, they will represent student voice, support whole school events, uphold high standards, assist staff, and help create a positive, aspirational environment for all students. From leading assemblies to supporting transition activities, they play a key part in shaping the culture of our Sixth Form.

Our Senior Students will be supported by a wider group of Student Leaders, who serve as ambassadors across a broad range of focus areas within the Sixth Form. These include:

• Communication – Enhancing clear and effective messaging across the Sixth Form and promoting strong relationships between students and staff.
• RAG & Charities – Leading fundraising events, raising awareness of key causes, and encouraging charitable engagement across the school.
• Careers & Aspirations – Helping peers explore future pathways, supporting events, and promoting opportunities that inspire ambition.
• Environment – Championing sustainability initiatives and encouraging environmentally conscious behaviour throughout the school as well as focusing on creating an effective Sixth Form environment for different learning styles.
• Equalities – Promoting fairness, inclusivity, and respect, ensuring all students feel represented and heard.
• The Arts and Culture Vulture Magazine – Supporting the creation and promotion of Sixth Form involvement in the creative arts across the school as well as editing our Sixth Form student-led magazine, showcasing creativity, culture, and student voice.
• Mental Health – Supporting awareness initiatives and helping promote a positive, healthy approach to wellbeing across the Sixth Form.
• Transition & Learning – Assisting with the transition of students into Sixth Form, as well as Year 6 into 7 and KS3 into KS4, and promoting strong study habits and academic support.
• Sports – Encouraging participation in physical activity, promoting team events, and celebrating sporting achievements within the school.

Together, this dedicated team of Senior Students and Student Leaders plays a vital role in strengthening our Sixth Form community, enriching student life, and maintaining the values we are proud of.
