Students and staff at Gordano School are celebrating another year of strong A-Level and vocational results, marking a significant milestone for the Class of 2026 as they take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships and employment. 

This year’s results reflect not only academic success but also the dedication, resilience and ambition shown by students throughout their time in the Sixth Form. Across a wide range of subjects and pathways, students have achieved outcomes that will enable them to pursue exciting futures both locally and across the UK. 

Headteacher Louise Blundell said: 

"We are incredibly proud of this year’s Sixth Form students. Their achievements are the result of years of commitment, perseverance, and hard work, and today is an opportunity to celebrate everything they have accomplished. They have embraced opportunities both inside and outside the classroom and have contributed enormously to our school community. We are delighted to see them achieving their goals and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their journey." 

This year’s standout achievements include: 

• Matilda U and Femke L have secured their places to study Medicine at the University of Bristol. 

• Avis L will be studying law at Durham University. 

• Daniel C and Lucas F both achieved 4 A*s and are studying Actuarial Science and Computer Science at the London School of Economics and Warwick University respectively. 

• Megan A achieved 3 As and will be studying Biomedical Science at the University of Bath. 

• Saskia P secured a place at the University of Manchester to study Economics with 2 A*s and 2 As. 

• Myah B completed health and social care with a Distinction Star and has accepted a place to study Midwifery. 

Other students will begin a range of degree level apprenticeships, specialist training programmes and employment opportunities in various sectors including Benedict M, Ella Ds and Poppy M who have been offered positions in local businesses and the MOD. 

Vocational students have also achieved strong results, demonstrating the value and success of the diverse pathways available within Gordano School Sixth Form. Their achievements highlight the commitment and talent of students pursuing applied and technical qualifications alongside traditional academic routes.
