GCSE Success for Gordano School Students

Gordano School is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE results, with students, families and staff coming together today to recognise the achievements of an exceptional Year 11 cohort. 

The Class of 2026 has achieved strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects, reflecting the dedication, determination and resilience shown throughout their secondary school journey. Students have demonstrated both academic excellence and personal growth, making today a proud milestone for the entire school community. 

Among the many successes, several students achieved particularly outstanding results: 

Alice B (10 grade 9s, 1 grade 8) 

Heidi D (9 grade 9's, 1 grade 8, 1 grade 7) 

Olivia L (8 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s) 

Evie DP (8 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s) 

Bethany D (8 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s) 

Bethan P (8 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s) 

Elizabeth G (7 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s)

Loukas (7 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, 1 grade 7) 

These achievements highlight the hard work and ambition of Gordano students, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families. 

Headteacher Louise Blundell said: 

"We are incredibly proud of every member of our Year 11 cohort. These results represent much more than examination grades; they reflect years of commitment, perseverance, and personal development. Throughout their time at Gordano, this year group has embodied our values and consistently risen to challenges with maturity and determination. We congratulate them on all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the many successes that lie ahead." 

             

Carolyn Tipler, Deputy Headteacher: Curriculum and Standards, said: 

"We are delighted to see our students achieve the results they deserve. They have been a wonderful year group who have readily engaged with the guidance, preparation and support they have received. They have progressed through Year 11 with resilience, commitment and maturity and are well prepared for their exciting next steps. We are so proud of them! 

             

Assistant Headteacher and Director of Key Stage 4 Mark Tipler said: 

"All of the students have done so well, and we are very proud of them. They worked incredibly hard all year and did everything that we asked of them. I am delighted to see the incredible results that we knew they were capable of, coming to fruition. I wish every student the very best for the next step in their academic journey and look forward tom seeing many of them September as they return to Gordano Sixth Form"
