Cromarty House Raises Over £300 for MacMillan Cancer Trust During Charity Week

Cromarty House is proud to announce the success of its fundraising efforts during Charity Week. A range of fun and engaging events brought students and staff together to support a worthy cause, culminating in a total of £310 raised for MacMillan Cancer Trust.
The week featured crowd-pleasing activities such as Sponge a Teacher, a spirited Staff vs Students Football Match, and a delicious Bake Sale. On the final day, students and staff took part in ‘Go Green for MacMillan’, where participants donated and wore green in place of part of their school uniform to show their support for those affected by cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support is a UK-based charity providing support and resources to people affected by cancer, including those living with cancer, their families, and caregivers. They offer a range of services, from practical and emotional support to financial assistance and advocacy for better cancer care.
This fundraising event is just one example of the many benefits of the House System at Gordano School, which fosters a strong sense of community, encourages healthy competition, enhances school spirit and promotes student leadership and cooperation. Enabling students to connect across different age groups and come together for worthy causes feeds into the school vision to provide a rich and rewarding learning journey, empowering all students to be positively engaged and contribute to their communities.
Cromarty House team extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who got involved—whether by donating, helping run events, or simply showing up to support. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make Charity Week a meaningful success.
Together, we’ve made a difference. Thank you!
