Held in Venga's beautiful Secret Garden, the celebration recognised the outstanding contribution made by students involved in the school's Aspire Mentoring Programme. Throughout the year, Year 12 mentors have volunteered their time to support younger students, helping to build confidence, develop academic skills and encourage a positive approach to learning.

The Aspire Programme continues to grow, with mentors providing invaluable guidance to Year 10 and Year 11 students through both the English and Maths mentoring schemes. Their willingness to give back to the school community perfectly reflects Gordano School's values of Dream Big, Do Your Best and Give Back.

The celebratory lunch gave mentors the opportunity to come together, reflect on the impact they have made and enjoy a well-deserved thank you for their hard work. Students enjoyed a fantastic selection of authentic tapas and paella, with the relaxed setting of the Secret Garden providing the perfect backdrop for the occasion.

Gordano School would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone at Venga Restaurant for their incredible generosity and support. Their kindness helped create a memorable event that celebrated the compassion, leadership and commitment shown by our student mentors throughout the year.

This celebration is another wonderful example of Gordano School's strong connection with the local community. Partnerships with organisations such as Venga Restaurant enrich the experiences of our students and demonstrate the shared commitment to recognising young people's achievements, encouraging leadership and celebrating those who give back to others.
