The evening began at school, where students and their families gathered in temperatures of over 30°C for a special pre-prom celebration. The sunshine provided the perfect backdrop as families took advantage of photo opportunities before students headed off to Ashton Gate Stadium. There was a real sense of excitement as everyone arrived looking their best and ready for an unforgettable evening.

Students then made a glamorous arrival through a paparazzi-style entrance, with photographer Stuart of Event Photography Bristol on hand to capture every moment as they walked the ‘red carpet’. They were welcomed with a choice of delicious virgin mocktails, including margaritas and mojitos, before enjoying an incredible buffet.

A standout feature of the evening was the introduction of the first-ever Prom Awards, with all winners voted for by their fellow students. Categories included Best Duo, Most Likely to be Prime Minister, and Most Likely to be Late to Lesson. Each winner received a trophy, leading to plenty of laughter, cheers and memorable moments as students celebrated one another's unique qualities.

The entertainment kept the energy high throughout the evening. The DJ had the dance floor packed from start to finish, playing an unforgettable soundtrack of crowd favourites and absolute bangers. One of the highlights of the night was the return of the much-loved staff dance, with teachers taking to the floor for a performance to "Candy" by Cameo, much to the delight of students.

Students and staff were also amazed by the talents of Seb Farr, whose incredible magic left everyone wondering how he pulled off his mind-blowing tricks. You can find Seb on Instagram at @sebastianfarrofficial.

The venue looked spectacular, with illuminated letters and personalised banners helping to create a truly memorable setting for the celebrations. A huge thank you goes to Nick White Landscaping for generously sponsoring the event and helping to make the evening so special. Their support played a significant role in creating a fantastic atmosphere for our Year 11 students and enabled the event to have those extra touches that made the evening memorable.

Most importantly, the prom was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of an exceptional year group, reflect on shared experiences, and create lasting memories before embarking on the next stage of their journeys.
