Gordano School Inter-House Christmas Card Competition 2025 – A Celebration of Creativity

This year’s Inter-House Christmas Card Competition at Gordano School was a wonderful celebration of creativity and festive spirit! Students were invited to design a card that included art or photography with a seasonal greeting, and each entry needed to show a clear connection to Portishead.

The response was fantastic, with many high-quality submissions that made the judging process both enjoyable and challenging. A huge thank you to everyone who entered — your effort and imagination truly captured the magic of the season.

After much deliberation, we are delighted to announce Lydia in Year 7 as the winner of this year’s competition. Lydia’s beautifully hand-drawn and coloured design captured the festive spirit of Portishead perfectly. Her creativity and attention to detail truly stood out, making her design a worthy choice for the official Gordano School Christmas card for 2025.

We also extend our congratulations to Rosie in Year 9, who earned the Runner-Up position with her stunning painted design. Rosie’s work was equally impressive and demonstrated exceptional skill and imagination.

Ms Blundell expressed her delight in using Lydia’s winning design as the Gordano School Christmas card this year, a tradition that celebrates the creativity and enthusiasm of our students during the festive season.

Thank you again to all participants for making this competition such a success. Your efforts have brought festive cheer to our school community!
