History & Politics Sixth Form Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition

This Halloween, Gordano’s Sixth Form History and Politics students - and their teachers - showed off their creativity in a unique seasonal challenge: carving pumpkins with a historical or political twist!
The competition brought out some incredible ideas, from a cleverly designed Napoleon on horseback to a striking Shakespeare-themed pumpkin. If time had allowed, these would have been strong contenders for the top spot.
However, after much deliberation, our impartial guest judge, Mr Boulton, awarded first place to a brilliantly carved Trump pumpkin, with Boris on a zip wire coming in a close second.
The event was a fantastic mix of fun and artistry, and every participant deserves credit for their imaginative designs and carving skills. It was a great way to combine creativity with curriculum themes—and celebrate Halloween in style!
