Our Year 13 Design & Technology students recently had the fantastic opportunity to visit Amalgam, a leading professional model-making company. Amalgam creates precision scale models for architects, developers, engineers, and naval architects — blending cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship to deliver exactly what each client needs.
This trip provided a brilliant insight into the industry and a great source of inspiration for our students. During their visit, our students had the chance to tour the incredible workshops at Amalgam, where they observed cutting-edge processes and even got a sneak peek at some top-secret commissioned projects in progress!
Amalgam’s expert team generously spent time with each student, offering personalised feedback on their NEA work, sharing model-making tips, and discussing career pathways in the world of professional model making.
