HE+ Programme takes Year 12 students to Cambridge for an Inspiring Visit

A group of Year 12 Gordano students visited Cambridge University from the 7th-8th July to experience university life. This trip marked the conclusion of their involvement in the HE+ programme, which has been running throughout the year. The aims of the programme are to develop the skills and knowledge of Year 12 students considering university applications to Oxbridge.
Students had a great time on the trip. They explored colleges and the city of Cambridge, got to experience university lectures, discussed the application process in more detail and stayed overnight in Trinity College (particularly enjoying the catered food option!)
To anyone thinking of applying to the HE+ programme in Year 12, all students were in agreement that it is definitely worth doing!
Definitely apply! It is easy to dip in and out of the lectures as it suits you so you can tailor your experience to what you want/need. It also allows you to meet fellow students with similar interests and passions and to discuss and find out what you truly want from university.

Definitely do it if you are on the fence, one of my favourite school activities yet!
