Year 6 Induction Day: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Students!

We were delighted to host our incoming Year 6 students for their Induction Day, a special event designed to help them settle in, make new friends, and get a feel for life at our school.
The day began with tutor time when students joined in activities with their tutor group designed to help them build connections and feel part of the community. These icebreakers and group challenges were a great way to start forming friendships that will support them throughout their time here. A fun and interactive quiz about the school helped students learn more about their new surroundings - from house names to classroom locations - while encouraging teamwork and friendly competition.
A series of sample lessons were arranged throughout the day, giving students a hands-on experience of the subjects they’ll be diving into in September.
During a warm and inspiring welcome assembly in the Main Hall, students met key staff members and learned more about the exciting journey ahead. It was a great opportunity to introduce our school values and set the tone for a positive start.
Students enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Aspens, served in our dining hall. With a variety of tasty options it was the perfect chance to relax and chat with new classmates. After lunch, students spent time on the main field, enjoying the sunshine and getting to know one another through games and free play. The atmosphere was full of energy and laughter!
We’re so proud of how confidently and enthusiastically our new Year 6 students embraced the day. We look forward to welcoming them back in September and watching them thrive!
