I’ve just come from the school hall where a rehearsal for Fame was in full flow. This is clearly going to be a high energy production and lots of fun. The production runs from 3rd to 5th February so if you haven’t already got your tickets do act quickly. I am sure that it will sell out fast.
Last week we held another of our very popular Business Breakfasts. It was great to welcome the very charismatic Peaches Golding OBE who is a well-known Bristol business woman as our speaker and she shared the billing with Adam Powell from the Local Enterprise Partnership. Both visitors spoke to us about the mutual benefits that business and school get from working with each other. We have now launched Gordano Partners as our formal business collaboration and if you run or work for a business in our locality we would love to welcome you into our Partnership. Alison Wood (email@example.com) would be delighted to tell you more.
I am pleased to be able to congratulate our Year 8 Boys’ football team who are through to the last 16 of the National Cup. They now face Royal Wootton Bassett Academy. We wish them luck.
Year 11 students spent part of their day yesterday with Jack Russell who is a psychologist and motivational speaker. He focussed on helping them be prepared and commit to their GCSE revision and studies. Any parents who would like to test their recall could ask them about how bees behave. I’ll be cryptic and stop there!
Lastly, we are in our first month of running our new sports centre. The fitness gym is a new addition to our offer and you may be interested in finding out about our membership rates at www.gordanosportscentre.org.uk.
