Thanks to everyone who helped at our 2017 Careers Convention

IMG_2414-iloveimg-compressedGordano School’s Annual Careers Convention took place on Thursday 5th October. Pupils from Years 9 –13 were invited into school to meet with a range of different businesses and to learn more about their options for higher education, apprenticeships and to get more information about future career choices.

The evening included contributions from around 50 different external businesses, ranging in fields of interest including engineering, apprenticeships, graphic design, mechanics, higher education courses, construction and housing.

This year welcomed apprenticeship seminars for those who were interested in learning more about the process of applying for an apprenticeship, and to hear from Jess Herbert, a former pupil from Gordano School who joined Rolls Royce as an apprentice back in 2013 and now works for Airbus.

Many thanks to everyone who donated time to take part in the event. We would especially like to thank Airbus and Rolls Royce . Many thanks for all of the businesses providing stands at the event, and in particular, representatives from our Gordano Partners; Pace, Alliance Homes and Willmott Dixon.
