Rotary Club Literary Competition

Students from Year 7 and Year 8 entered the Portishead Rotary Club's competition for creative writing 2012. The theme was on the forthcoming 'London Olympics' and students were to write either poetry or prose in this category.

There were over 40 entries and the following students won.

POETRY - First prize, James Robinson. Second prize, Alexa Gowland and Highly commended Emma Steel, Ruth Adams and Toby Charman
PROSE - First prize, Tom Bishop. Second prize, Hannah Clay and Highly commended, Alys Withers

Members of The Rotary Club presented the students with prizes and certificates and the winners will go through to the next round in the county heats.  A big well done to all those involved!
