Mental Health Awareness Week – 18th – 24th May – Join In

The Mental Health Foundation works to prevent mental health problems, this week is Mental Health Awareness Week (18th - 24th May 2020.)

The theme for this year is kindness, why kindness? ... Because kindness transforms our schools, places of work, communities, and families. Below is a starter pack with tips on what we can all do to help shape a society that tips the balance in favour of good mental health, for all of us, but especially for those who are most vulnerable in our society. The top three tips for this week are: 

  1. Join in online - During the week, reflect on an act of kindness. Take a photo or video (with permission!) and use the hashtags #KindnessMatters and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
  2. Host a virtual fundraising event - or contribute to ours here 
  3. Attend an online Mental Health Arts Festival
