Gordano Goes Media Mad
Year 11 students studying the Creative & Media Diploma recently held their annual Diploma Festival at the school. Titled 'Media Madness', the festival focused around students taking famous brands and products and changing their identity to appeal to a new audience. The students had only 9 weeks to plan and organise the whole event, which included creating their own ideas as well as working in teams to make sure the event was a success. The festival showcased all their work, as well as giving an opportunity to get creative in the 'Groovy Booth' using Apple Macs to alter and distort their own portraits and change their identity.
The annual event represents a lot of hard work and effort on the part of everyone involved and this really paid off with a strong turnout from both staff and students. During the festival money was raised for Children in Need .
Mr Roberts, the group's Creative & Media Diploma teacher was especially impressed saying " they all worked really hard, I'm really proud as everything you see has been organised and created by the students themselves".
