Higher Apprenticeship Evening at Gordano School- Thursday 18th January
Higher Apprenticeships were the focus for discussion at Gordano School last week.
External guest speakers included alumni students from both Rolls Royce and Deloitte as well as representatives from GKN Aerospace, University of Plymouth, ASK Education & Employment, QA Apprenticeships and Weston College all providing invaluable information and insight on Higher and Degree Apprenticeships in this area of workplace opportunities.
Industry guests also included representatives from Gordano School’s Business Partners scheme, FMC Global talent and Hargreaves Lansdown. These representatives featured alongside NCS, Ministry of Defence (alumni student), GIST and BT Apprenticeships.
Brendon Abood, Head of Careers at Gordano School commented,
“Business contributions of time to our careers events are much appreciated as they provide an effectual way for our older students to make connections and network with businesses that they may well go on to work with on the next stage of their career path.
Our Business Partners; FMC Global Talent and Hargreaves Lansdown continually demonstrate loyalty to Gordano School’s careers programme, and we are so incredibly lucky to have welcomed their contributions to this evening’s activities.”
Brendon went on to say,
“I would also like to thank all of our other guest speakers for their time and efforts during the evening. Our careers team aim to provide the highest possible number of opportunities and events for our students, in order for them to digest what their options are once they leave school at 18. We have made the choice to celebrate our strong links with business through our Gordano Partners membership scheme, and we are always eager to discuss new business engagement with our pupils. If you would like to know more about becoming a Gordano Partner, please feel free to get in touch with us firstname.lastname@example.org .”
